Bowlero Bowling Alley, Arcade Opens In Shrewsbury

Former Patriot Rob Ninkovich will headline a grand opening party Saturday, Nov. 4.

SHREWSBURY, MA – Bowlero, Worcester County's newest bowling alley and arcade, will hold a grand opening ceremony Saturday, Nov. 4 in Shrewsbury. Former New England Patriots linebacker and two-time Super Bowl champion Rob Ninkovich will headline the event at 405 Boston Turnpike, Rt. 9, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The location is Bowlmor AMF's first in Massachusetts.

Bowlero, a 40,000-square-foot complex in the former AMF Town & Country Lanes space, boasts 40 blacklight lanes, a renovated bar and lounge space and an interactive arcade with 21 games. The interior has been upgraded to include wall graphics, lane-side seating and massive video walls playing everything from live sports and rock concerts to music videos and classic movies.

Its menu runs the gamut from oversized specials like the Party Pretzel and a five-pound, 14-inch-round burger known as the "Behemoth Burger" to cocktails such as the Mad Mai Tai, Old-School Moscow Mule and the Dunk Tank.

Saturday's grand opening ceremony, "Be Bowled" will feature free bowling, arcade games and giveaways. RSVP is recommended, via bowlero.com/shrewsbury-grand-opening.

Bowlero Shrewsbury will be open Mondays through Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m., Fridays from 12 pm. to 1 a.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. For lane availability, reservations, or to plan a party or corporate event, please call (508) 754-7050.
