A Saturday afternoon of free bowling at a venue trying to re-imagine the traditional alley experience?

Count us in.

On May 12, Bowlero North Scottsdale’s grand opening will offer customers one free game of bowling, a free shoe rental and a $5 arcade card.

There will also be giveaways from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“With Bowlero North Scottsdale, we set out to totally upgrade and re-imagine the entertainment experience that visitors enjoy at Scottsdale 101 Shopping Center night after night,” Chief Custom Officer Colie Edison said in a press release. “It’s been exciting to see the transformation take place over the past several months.”

This is the third Bowlero location to open in the Phoenix area. Last year, one opened in Gilbert and another right outside Christown Spectrum.

Bowlero Corporation also operates 19 bowling centers in Arizona including AMF and Brunswick Zone brands.

The alley’s “stunning departure from the traditional alley setting” includes bowling with blacklight lanes and plush seating, hi-definition video walls and more than 35 games including Hot Shot Basketball, Jurassic Park Arcade, beer pong and photo booths.

Bowlero’s “Oversized Shareables” gives customers food to go around. Options include a five-pound hamburger, two-foot-long hot dog and, for adults, the 100-ounce cocktails “made to be shared.”

This bowling alley is located at 7000 E. Mayo Blvd. Building No. 19, Phoenix, AZ 85054. For more information, visit the website.
